OmniSOC Events Code of Conduct
OmniSOC aims to foster a professional, ethical, and secure environment at all of our events, whether online or in person. All participants must adhere to the following expectations and norms as applicable. These guidelines are designed to promote cybersecurity best practices, professional conduct, and a positive experience for all attendees at our events and venues.
Ethical and Professional Conduct
- All individuals are expected to engage professionally with others and extend courtesy and respect. Participants will avoid aggressive sales tactics, solicitation, or intrusive marketing. OmniSOC encourages collaboration, not competition. Harassment or intimidating behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Attendees are encouraged to contribute to a diverse and welcoming environment by respecting all of our OmniSOC community in materials and engagement strategies. Our broader community includes individuals from many cultures, first languages, levels of education, etc., and miscommunications can easily happen. When in doubt, seek clarification.
- The health and safety of our guests is a priority. Weapons, illegal substances, and tobacco products and use, including e-cigarettes and vaping, are not permitted at any OmniSOC event or location.
- Respect presenters by asking questions at appropriate times to minimize interruptions.
Security and Compliance
- Event attendees may be given access to Wi-Fi access points. Use these networks in accordance with their own policies and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Without explicit permission of the event chair, flash photography or recording at any presentation is not permitted. OmniSOC provides presentation recordings and event photos when appropriate. Attracting candid presentations and discussions related to cybersecurity relies in part on the confidence that certain sensitive topics will not be recorded.
- Vendors, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees must not collect, track, or store event or attendee data without explicit consent and in compliance with applicable regulations. Any data collection must be transparent and clearly communicated.
Failure to comply with these expectations may result in penalties, including but not limited to booth closure, removal from the event, and restriction from future participation.
By participating in an OmniSOC event, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these guidelines.
There may be event photos or recordings by OmniSOC. If you would like to opt out of inclusion, please contact us
If you would like to report a violation of the above rules, please report the incident to the event chair or OmniSOC contact
